Stop and Restart Services

To implement changes and adjustments to the system configuration such as backing up the system and enabling SSL communication, you may need to stop, start, or restart the related services. Log on to the Windows server to operate the services. Windows Server 2012 R2 is used as an example in the procedure shown below.

  1. Use a user account with administrative privileges to log on to Windows.

  2. Open [Control Panel] → [System and Security] → [Administrative Tools].

  3. Click [Services].

  4. Select the service you want to change in the list, and then click [Stop], [Start], or [Restart].

There are three types of RICOH Streamline NX services as follows:

  • RICOH SLNX Central Manager Service

  • RICOH SLNX Delegation Server Service

  • RICOH SLNX Mobile Intranet Extender Service

Change the settings in both of those services. You can change either service first.

  1. After changing the settings, start those services to change their status to “Running”, and then close the [Services] screen.
